Changing the world, one thought at a time…
Eschatology reminds Christians that this world isn’t their final home and to look beyond what is presently happening on earth and toward heaven, where they will be with Christ and His people forever and always.
Understanding the timing of the RaptureMatt 24:32-34 (ESV)
32 “From the fig tree learn its lesson: as soon as its branch becomes tender and puts out its leaves, you know that summer is near. 33 So also, when you see all these things, you know that he is near, at the very gates. 34 Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place.
The fig tree is the symbol of Israel
A generation spans 70 to 80 years according to Psalm 90:10 (ESV)
The years of our life are seventy, or even by reason of strength eighty; yet their span[c] is but toil and trouble; they are soon gone, and we fly away.
Therefore, Jesus is saying that BEFORE Israel completes its first generate from the time it was born (twigs get tender and its leaves come out), He will come again.
